- Kyi is a general cardiologist and cardiac imaging specialist. Kyi trained in cardiology at The Prince Charles Hospital, Townsville University hospital, and Gold Coast University Hospital through Queensland Cardiology Advanced Training Program. After attaining his Fellowship with the Royal Australiasian College of Physicians, Kyi undertook a dedicated cardiac imaging fellowship at Royal Adelaide Hospital where he trained in advanced cardiac imaging such as cardiac MRI, cardiacCT, and echocardiography.
- Kyi then moved to Melbourne and undertook further sub-speciality training in advanced echocardiography at the Alfred Hospital where he further gained experience in all aspects of echocardiography including trans-thoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and trans-oesophageal echocardiography as well as echocardiographic guidance of transcatheter structural interventions. During his training years, Kyi was involved in several research projects in general cardiology and cardiac imaging and has published in international peer-reviewed journals.
- Kyi's clinical areas of interest are in general cardiology and in multimodality cardiac diagnostic imaging such as echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI. Kyi has public appointments as a cardiologist at Alfred Health and Peninsula Health.
- Kyi is compassionate and gentle; he enjoys working and communicating with his patients and referring doctors with emphasis on providing high quality care in a dedicated and professional manner.
- Kyi is fluent in English and Burmese. Outside work, he enjoys watching soccer, traveling, and spending time with his young family and friends.
